January saw a 15.4% year-on-year increase in motorcycle sales in Argentina, driven by the delivery sector boom. Honda leads, followed by Gilera and Motomel.


Argentine Motorcycle Sales Reach New High

In Argentina, motorcycle sales increased by 15.4% year-on-year in January, a trend linked to the growing presence of delivery services in the country's urban areas. According to the Association of Car Dealers, 68,383 new motorcycles were registered in January 2026. This compares to 59,252 units in the same month of 2025. On a monthly basis, sales rose by 13.1%, as 60,439 units were registered in December.

Honda continued to lead the market with 13,692 units, followed by Gilera, which reclaimed the second spot with 8,743 units, pushing Motomel (8,543) to third place. Zanella also reclaimed fourth place with 6,130 units, while Corven dropped to fifth with 6,045.

Regarding the top-selling models, the long-time leader, the Honda Wave 110, remained in first place with 6,802 registrations, followed by the Gilera Smash in second with 5,857. The news was that the Motomel B110 reclaimed third place with 4,693 units, surpassing the Keller KN 110-8, which fell to fourth. The Corven Energy 110 by Corven held steady in fifth place with 4,020 units.
