President Javier Milei presented the 2025 Budget Bill, estimating that inflation for the upcoming year will be 18.3%, a figure that contrasts with the projections of the Market Expectations Survey which places inflation at 38.4%. According to Milei, the increase in prices will be below market estimates.
On the other hand, economist Orlando Ferreres analyzed price trends and predicted that inflation for the year 2025 will be around 30-32%, also forecasting a significant increase in real wages and pensions for the next year.
Regarding the evolution of the economy, Ferreres pointed out that the recession is coming to an end, paving the way for an economic recovery. Despite the fact that there still exists some recession, the economist considers that the situation is gradually improving.
In relation to inflation, Ferreres highlighted that, while October's inflation was favorable and is considered a success for the Government, it is still necessary to observe how prices will behave in November, as significant increases are expected at the beginning of the month.
