
Argentinian regional economies experienced a significant increase in the average export price, reaching US$1,230. From October 2023 to September 2024, they managed to export a total of US$8.649 billion, the highest level since January 2023, with imports totaling US$791 million, generating a trade surplus of US$7.858 billion.
The Confederación Argentina de la Mediana Empresa (CAME) highlighted that this sector has demonstrated a remarkable recovery capacity, especially after facing three consecutive droughts and early frosts that impacted production levels. Additionally, it noted that during the analyzed period, high volatility in international prices was observed, as well as the opening of new markets for regional economy products.
The report from the Monitor de Exportaciones de las Economías Regionales (MEER) of CAME reflected that Europe is the main destination for regional exports, accounting for 32.8% of total shipments with a total of US$2.839.2 billion.
In September, regional economies achieved the highest export amount since January 2023, recording a trade surplus of US$7.858 billion in the last twelve months. The report also showed a 29.1% increase in dollars and a 26.5% increase in tons in regional economy exports, translating to a year-on-year rise of US$1.948.8 billion in total exports and 1.5 million tons in traded volume.
Regarding trading partners, it specified that the Netherlands was the main one, with total exports of US$593.7 million, predominantly from peanut complex sales, which represented 36% of sales to the continent, with total sales amounting to US$1.021.2 billion.
