
President Javier Milei reaffirmed his intention to lift the dollar restriction, although he emphasized that he will do it at the right time and not "at any cost." In an interview on the TN channel, he expressed his strong conviction in individual freedom and his rejection of any restrictive measures. Milei stated that the restriction will be lifted, pointing towards a future with "only good news."
Regarding the country's economy, Milei mentioned growth that significantly exceeded the inflation rate, highlighting that he does not like to make long-term projections. Concerning pensions, he acknowledged an improvement and pointed out that during his administration he managed to reduce poverty by eight percentage points. He highlighted the increase in real wages and improvement in pensions as key factors in this achievement.
The president used the term "deep chainsaw" to refer to his government's deregulation policy, reflecting the determination to not stop in reducing public spending to eventually lower taxes. Milei reaffirmed his libertarian liberal stance by not discussing economic projections and emphasized that economics is a science focused on human action.
