Argentina's industrial production continued its decline. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), industrial output fell by 8.7% in February compared to the same month last year. This marks the eighth consecutive monthly decrease. As a result, the total production decline for the first two months of the year reached 12%. This situation worsens, making industry one of the sectors most affected by the government's economic program. The most significant drops were recorded in textile production (-33.2%), machinery and equipment (-29.4%), and automotive manufacturing (-24.6%). The construction sector also showed negative performance. In February, the Synthetic Indicator of Construction Activity (ISAC) decreased by 0.7% year-on-year and by 1.3% compared to January. Nevertheless, for the first quarter of the year, construction grew by 0.5% year-on-year. According to surveys, the construction sector expects the level of activity to stabilize in the coming months.
