The Government of Argentina has officially enacted Law 27.800, which ratifies the Interim Trade Agreement between the Mercosur bloc and the European Union. The law was passed by Congress and signed by President Javier Milei. The agreement was signed on January 17, 2026, in Asunción, Paraguay, between the member states of Mercosur and the European bloc. It comprises 23 chapters along with annexes and appendices that form an integral part of the norm approved by Parliament. In this way, the agreement has been formally incorporated into Argentina's legal system, aiming to deepen trade exchange and economic integration between Mercosur and the European Union.
