Neuquén Province Continues Construction of Strategic Highway

The province of Neuquén has begun the second phase of a major road infrastructure project, crucial for the safety of all road users and local residents. This project involves the paving of the second section of Provincial Route No. 23, which connects Puesto Jara with the Litrán area. The project is now over 60% complete. According to the Argentine News Agency, this is a strategic initiative that will improve connectivity and road safety in the Pehuén region. These works are part of a broader road plan. Due to ongoing work on Provincial Route No. 23, drivers and tourists are urged to exercise extreme caution. Numerous work crews and machinery are present on site, paving the RP No. 23 in Neuquén. Given the scale of the project, authorities request that users respect signage, speed limits, and the instructions of road personnel. Temporary detours, lane reductions, and alternating traffic in both directions are in effect on the intervened sections. The paving of Route No. 23 is advancing across its three sections. The route currently has 8 kilometers of paved road, and it is planned to progress with another 10 kilometers before the start of the climatic ban, according to the Provincial Directorate of Roads. With the start of 2026, the province of Neuquén began the second part of a vital road infrastructure project essential for the safety of users in general and neighbors in particular. Roads are particularly important for the connectivity of towns, and their proper condition is fundamental for the road safety of those who travel them. The project is managed by the Ministry of Infrastructure through the works of the Provincial Directorate of Roads (DPV) and the Provincial Unit for Linkage and Execution of Projects with External Financing (UPEFE). To date, 8 kilometers of this stage of Provincial Route No. 23 in Neuquén have been paved. In this way, they will complete 18 kilometers of paved road, with four kilometers remaining to finish the planned distance. These sections are vital for maintaining communication in the Pehuén region: Pino Hachado - Litrán; Litrán - Puesto Jara; Rahue - Puente Pilo Lil.
