The total grain production in Argentina for the 2025/26 cycle is estimated at 154.8 million tons, a figure representing a 12% increase compared to the volume obtained in the previous cycle and surpassing the historical maximum of 141.5 million tons recorded in the 2018/19 cycle. The growth is based on the improvement in climatic conditions following a period marked by droughts and frosts. Winter crops, such as wheat and barley, reached record productions of 27.7 and 5.6 million tons, respectively. Regarding the coarse harvest, corn is projected to reach 61 million tons, implying a year-on-year increase of 22% after the recovery of the sown area. According to the Rosario Stock Exchange (BCR), accessed by Argentine News Agency, the current scenario responds to a winter with abundant rainfall that allowed for the development of sowings with good soil moisture. The entity clarifies that while prospects for summer crops are favorable, final results will depend on the evolution of the climate in the coming months. Commercially, grain, flour, and oil exports of 110 million tons are expected, the highest volume recorded to date. In value terms, these foreign sales would generate revenue of $36.8 billion. The soybean complex would remain the main exporter with $19.5 billion, followed by corn with $8.2 billion and wheat with $3.75 billion. Finally, the technical report indicates that fiscal revenue from Export Duties (DEX) of the six main agro-industrial chains would amount to $4.83 billion in 2026. This represents a 4% increase compared to the estimate for 2025.
