Toyota Hilux once again closed the year as the best-selling vehicle in the Argentine market, reclaiming a crown it had already won in recent periods and reaffirming the weight of pickups in the local market.
According to the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (ACARA), Hilux finished 2025 as the absolute leader of the general ranking. This year, the market grew strongly and exceeded 612,000 registered vehicles, an increase of 47.8% compared to 2024.
The 2025 sales results are as follows: • Toyota Hilux: 30,768 units • Toyota Yaris: 30,150 • Fiat Cronos: 29,905 • Peugeot 208: 29,092 • Ford Ranger: 24,976 • Volkswagen Amarok: 23,612 • Volkswagen Polo: 21,324 • Toyota Corolla Cross: 18,151 • Chevrolet Tracker: 17,647 • Volkswagen Taos: 16,523
The outstanding data of the year is that two pickups—Hilux and Ranger—were among the top five best-selling models in the country, confirming a structural change in demand towards vehicles designed for work and mixed use.
In 2025, Hilux's leadership was explained by a combination of factors: strong demand from the productive sector, good positioning in the country's interior, a wide range of versions, and an image of reliability that remains intact over time.
Behind the Hilux, the annual ranking showed a strong presence of compact and mid-size cars, with a very close fight between historical models of the Argentine market, in a scenario where SUVs failed to secure the top spot.
According to the latest report presented by ACARA, among the 10 best-selling vehicles in Argentina, there are three pickups, one sedan, three hatchbacks, and three SUVs.
