Luján Municipality Advances with Road Improvements in Luna Neighborhood

The Municipality of Luján is proceeding with road improvement works in the Luna neighborhood, an intervention that covers 30 blocks with the aim of improving circulation and internal connectivity in the area. According to the Argentine News Agency, the works include the cleaning and leveling of streets, as well as the application of new asphalt and crushed stone as a wearing course, seeking more efficient runoff of rainwater and greater durability of the streets. The municipality published a list of arteries affected by the intervention: among others, sections of Jorge Cafrune, Facundo Cabral, and Sofía Piñero are included, as well as connections between internal streets of the neighborhood. The tasks are being deployed at a time of year when the volume of rain usually stresses improved streets, so the municipality aims to strengthen the subgrade and reduce areas with water accumulation. From the local Executive, they maintain that the improvement not only impacts daily transitability but also the accessibility of essential services—such as garbage collection, ambulances, and school traffic—in a neighborhood layout that combines local traffic and connection routes. The Municipality recommended that residents circulate with caution in the intervened sectors and follow official channels to learn about the progress block by block, as the work scheme moves in fronts according to the condition of each street.
