The report highlights a transformation in the tourism industry, marked by curiosity about new local destinations and a renewed interest in trips abroad. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), searches for 'cheap flights' grew by 18% between 2024 and 2025, while events like Cyber Monday saw a 73% peak in flight queries on their first day. The boom in Villa Traful and international destinations In the run-up to the 2026 summer, Google identified the destinations that saw the most significant increase in interest between June and November 2025. Villa Traful took the top spot with an 84% growth. The ranking of destinations with the highest growth in searches is as follows: Villa Traful (+84%) Florianópolis (+50%) Aspen (+30%) Puerto Madryn (+23%) Curaçao (+21%) Córdoba (+15%) Buenos Aires (+12%) Accommodation and flight preferences The report also details how Argentines are planning their trips: Accommodation: Hotels remain the top choice, accounting for 70% of searches in 2025. Flights abroad: in the last quarter of the year, 53% of flight queries were for international destinations. Discount events: The Travel Sale reached its all-time high with a 14% year-on-year increase in searches. Finally, a global study commissioned by Google from Deloitte projects that the number of international tourists arriving in Argentina could double by 2040, reaching 15 million annual visitors.
