The transport guild of Chaco requested the union's understanding to avoid strike actions.
Businesses in the Chaco transport sector have announced they will be unable to pay the December bonus due to the financial crisis. They informed the Chaco branch of the Union of Transport Workers (UTA) via a letter addressed to the union's general secretary, Héctor Raúl Abraham.
The business owners stated that the bonus will be paid in four equal and consecutive installments, with the first starting this month and the remaining ones on January 15, February 15, and March 15, 2026.
CETACH explained that the decision was made after a meeting analyzed the specific situation of each provider, concluding that there are insufficient resources to meet the salary obligation without jeopardizing the continuity of the service.
The following factors were cited as justification:
- Debt from Social Attributes (ATS) corresponding to October in the SUBE system, which has not yet been published or transferred by the Nation.
- Lack of provincial contributions to compensate for the system's gap, a fact acknowledged by the State itself in public hearings.
- The gap between the official technical fare ($2,900) and actual revenues, as the user pays $1,300 and the State contributes only $613, creating a deficit of $987 per ticket.
- The absence of definitions on tariff compensations until the implementation of new fares.
Additionally, they indicated the discontinuation of the Free Student Pass during January and February 2026, a key component of the companies' income.
