The Argentine business sector shows signs of greater optimism regarding job creation for the first quarter of 2026. According to a ManpowerGroup survey, the Net Employment Expectations (ENE) in the country reached +10% on a seasonally adjusted basis. This is an increase of 5 percentage points from the previous quarter and 11 percentage points year-on-year. The survey, conducted from October 1 to 31, 2025, among over 700 employers, revealed that 30% plan to increase their workforce, 18% anticipate reductions, and 35% expect no changes. Finance and Construction lead in hiring intentions, while the Public Sector, Health, and Social Services sector shows the weakest expectations (-3%). Regionally, the Northeast (NEA) demonstrates the strongest performance with an ENE of +15%, followed by Patagonia and the Pampean region, both at +13%. In a global context, Argentina ranks 10th out of 42 countries with an ENE of +10%, lagging behind Brazil (+57%) and other regional nations. "After four quarters with null and low job creation expectations, the Argentine business sector is more optimistic for the first quarter of 2025," noted a ManpowerGroup executive. "Argentina has managed to leave last place in the global ranking of expectations, but is still far from our neighboring countries in terms of job generation."
