Three out of four residents of Buenos Aires Province will pay less next year thanks to a reformulation of the tables that restores equity, protects the middle class, and prevents tax pressure from falling disproportionately on them, stated Girard.

The new tax structure will change from 15 to 5 brackets, with rates ranging from 1% to 4.5%, which will position the province among the jurisdictions with the lowest vehicle tax in the country.

Meanwhile, the 2026 Tax Bill project, which includes these changes, maintains progressivity in asset taxes and a pro-production and employment orientation in the case of Gross Income Tax.

Furthermore, he reported that 75% of vehicle owners will pay a lower vehicle tax next year as a result of the reformulation of the tax tables provided for in the Tax Bill project that the Executive Branch sent to the Legislature.

"We are nominally lowering the vehicle tax for 75% of vehicle owners. It does not contemplate rate increases in any activity and updates the brackets by 40%, benefiting more than 46,000 small and medium-sized enterprises in Buenos Aires Province," said Girard.

"The economic context is critical for the residents of Buenos Aires, which is why this law engages with that reality: it does not include additional fees or increases in the Real Estate Tax, which represents a concrete relief for families and the rural sector," noted Girard.

Finally, the head of ARBA emphasized that the modernization of the tax administration continues through digital tools aimed at improving the efficiency of tax collection "without stifling production or consumption".

The Buenos Aires Province Revenue Agency (ARBA) announced that starting in 2026, it will modify the payment method for the Vehicle Tax, which will be paid in ten equal monthly installments starting in March, with the objective of facilitating the financial planning of Buenos Aires families.

As detailed by the organization's executive director, Cristian Girard, the measure seeks to "provide greater predictability and organization to family economics".
