Argentina's major banks have reduced fixed-term deposit rates following the Central Bank's decision to cut its benchmark rate. Many offers now have negative real yields when adjusted for inflation.

Following the interest rate cut by the Central Bank and the National Treasury's bond placements, the main banks in the system have lowered the yields on fixed-term deposits. A survey by Noticias Argentinas shows that in many cases, yields have turned negative when adjusted for inflation.
