Today, Navarro's projections go beyond the trade of construction materials and focus on the vast potential of China-Argentina cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. Thus, he actively participates in platforms such as the Canton Fair, consolidates existing supply chains, and prioritizes exploring synergies between sustainable energy, agricultural technological innovation, and local projects in Argentina.

His vision for the future is clear: on one hand, he will expand his commercial operations in China and deepen long-term collaborations with the country's manufacturers; on the other, he will promote the export of high-value special Argentine products to China, aiming to achieve a two-way increase in bilateral trade.

"Coming to China, which has established itself as a global center for technology and manufacturing, and cultivating long-lasting relationships is fundamental to boosting economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries," he affirms.

After touring the exhibition, he acquired a batch of bathroom accessories, construction materials, and other products to ship to Latin America.

Navarro's story with China began during his time as a student in Beijing in 2014. Integrating with China's high-value supply chains not only fills market gaps in the South American country but also builds bridges for Chinese companies to expand into the regional market.

Leveraging his deep knowledge of both markets, Navarro also proactively took on the role of a guide for his peers. As bilateral investment cooperation continues to expand, Argentina has become a key Latin American market for China in the engineering contracting sector. Chinese companies remain active in securing large projects and investing in them in Argentine sectors such as transportation, infrastructure, energy, electricity, and telecommunications.

In his opinion, Guangdong is the "world's factory," which allows him to connect with manufacturers of all kinds. "As he comments, Chinese manufacturers can achieve an ideal balance between advanced technology, high quality, and large-scale production to precisely meet the fundamental requirements of the Argentine market."

To date, under his influence and guidance, more than one hundred Latin American businessmen have come to China to participate in commercial activities spanning multiple sectors, including construction materials, industrial machinery, and agricultural technology.

He always believed in the potential of China's vast market, and those who followed his footsteps equally believed in the future he described. He explained to them that only by visiting the country in person and establishing a presence in this market could they leverage the benefits of cooperation more quickly and on a larger scale.

For Argentine Fernando Navarro, the 138th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, represents a significant step in his return to the Asian country. His two years of postgraduate studies allowed him to closely experience the dynamism and potential of the Chinese market, laying the foundation for future collaborations.

In 2025, he decided to return and settle in Guangzhou, the capital of southern Guangdong province.

From his perspective, the Belt and Road Initiative not only creates trade corridors but also a platform for shared prosperity. "Add me on WeChat," they would say, and by the end of the day, he had accumulated numerous business contacts.

The construction sector is the core of his foreign trade business.
