The National Government has officially convened the National Council on Employment, Productivity, and the Minimum, Vital, and Mobile Wage for November 26, with the objective of defining a new increase in the minimum wage and updating the amounts for unemployment benefits.
The call was formalized this Tuesday through Resolution 6/2025, published in the Official Gazette, and is signed by Claudia Silvana Testa, alternate president of the Council.
According to the resolution, the session will be held virtually and the schedule is as follows:
10:00 hs: The "Commission on the Minimum, Vital, and Mobile Wage and Unemployment Benefits" will meet. The objective is to address the "Determination of the Minimum, Vital, and Mobile Wage" and the "Determination of the minimum and maximum amounts for unemployment benefits".
12:30 hs: An ordinary plenary session has been called to address the issues raised by the commission.
14:00 hs: A second call for a plenary session has been set, if necessary.
The Council's plenary session, made up of sixteen (16) representatives from employers and sixteen (16) from workers, will thus set the new amounts that will be in effect in the coming months.
