ANSES Launches Marriage Benefit in Argentina

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) offers a one-time economic benefit to accompany a special moment in people's lives. This payment, known as the 'Family Allowance for Marriage', is intended to support new families. To be eligible, it is necessary to present the marriage certificate that accredits the legal bond. The benefit is available to registered workers (SUAF), unemployment benefit holders, beneficiaries of work risk insurers, seasonal workers, and holders of the Honorary Pension for South Atlantic War Veterans. Key requirements: the marriage must be registered in the ANSES database, the application must be made within 2 months before and up to 2 years after the wedding, and the individual and family incomes must not exceed the maximum thresholds in effect at the time of the event. Additionally, 'in the case of dependent workers, they must have a minimum and continuous seniority of 6 months in their employment at the time of marriage,' ANSES clarifies on its website. The procedure can be done in two ways: in person, for which an appointment must be made from the ANSES website and then go to an ANSES office, or through the Virtual Attention channel. To start the virtual management, you must enter the ANSES website with the CUIL and Social Security Key. Once the application is approved, the benefit amount is credited directly to the holder's bank account, ensuring a fast and secure payment. This online channel allows you to manage the application without the need to travel, streamlining the process.
