ANSES Activates $400 Bonus and 2.1% Increase for Pensions and AUH Benefits

**General Information:**

The Argentine National Social Security Administration (ANSES) announced an increase in the payment amounts for the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and the Pregnancy Allowance (SUAF). Consequently, the fixed monthly payment for eligible beneficiaries will be increased from 408,575 to 417,149 pesos. This adjustment will also result in a 2.1% increase in all social benefits, aligning them with inflation.

**Details of Changes:**

The increased payments will take effect from the month in which important events occur, such as the birth of a child, the establishment of a union, or marriage. For example, the payment for a birth will include a full supplementary allowance to the basic AUH amount. These payments do not require a separate application and are processed automatically by ANSES in conjunction with regular benefit payments.

The program is now called the *Alimentary Card* (Tarjeta Alimentar), and benefits are distributed according to the following categories: - For families with one child: 52,250 pesos; - For families with two children: 81,936 pesos; - For families with three children: 108,062 pesos.

Furthermore, the *Milk Supplement* (Complemento Leche) will amount to 44,222 pesos per month. For families with one child and an AUH booklet (for supplementary milk benefits), the total payment will be 95,771 pesos. ANSES will cover 20% of the annual cost for the bond that supports this.

**Eligibility and Program Scope:**

To be eligible for these benefits, the following is required: — to be the parent (or legal guardian) of a child under 18 years of age (or with a disability); — to have a permanent domicile in Argentina; — to prove citizenship or legal residency with a valid temporary residence permit for more than two years.

The AUH program is designated for families in situations of formal unemployment, domestic workers, and informal groups, while the SUAF program covers informal workers in the formal economy, pensioners, and beneficiaries without formal employment. Important: If a family qualifies for SUAF benefits, they cannot receive AUH, even if they have children.

**Supplementary Allowances:**

AUH beneficiaries receive supplementary support from the Ministry of Human Capital, including products for beneficiaries. Applications for these benefits can be submitted both online and at ANSES offices, where the required documents (ID, proof of address, AUH booklet) must be presented.

**Important:** All amounts are adjusted according to the CPI for the second half of 2023.
