National Roadway reported on the progress of the works being carried out in Entre Ríos, specifically on National Route 18, to transform it into a motorway. This project aims to improve road infrastructure in the province, covering a stretch that goes from the intersection with RN 12 to the intersection with RP 20, crossing localities such as Colonia Avellaneda, Sauce Montrull, Viale, and Villaguay.
The segment of 67.85 kilometers in length includes the construction of a second lane, return points, and intersections with RN 12 and RP 32, as well as the execution of major drainage works in streams such as Sauce, Espinillo, Talita, among others. Currently, work is being carried out on different fronts simultaneously.
The statement highlights that deviations are being made at the accesses to Seguí and Viale, as well as at the intersection with RP 32 to facilitate the execution of the works. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, respect the recommended maximum speeds, and follow the instructions of workers in the area.
Regarding the progress, it is mentioned that earthmoving works are being done for bases and embankments, construction of culverts, and laying of asphalt at various points along the route. For example, base and asphalt layer construction work is being carried out at the accesses to localities such as Sauce Grande, as well as on embankments and sub-bases at different intersections.
Additionally, it is noted that the second section of the works extends from Las Tunas to the intersection with RP 20, where work is also being developed to advance the transformation of National Route 18 into a modern motorway that will benefit the inhabitants of the region and improve road connectivity in the area.
