The LATAM group announced its intention to include Argentina in its Joint Venture agreement with Delta Air Lines. This agreement seeks to improve connectivity between Argentina and the United States and Canada, providing customers with a better travel experience. Argentina's incorporation into the Joint Venture is subject to governmental approval and will be presented to the Argentine authorities following the corresponding regulations.
Once this agreement is officially finalized, it is expected to provide passengers with easier access to a network of over 300 destinations, offering a smoother and more efficient travel experience with various benefits and services. Joint Ventures are business arrangements aimed at providing an enhanced, uniform, and simplified travel experience, facilitating travelers' direct and efficient access to both companies' destination networks.
Additionally, LATAM plans to operate a new daily flight on the Santiago de Chile-Buenos Aires-Miami route, following the fifth freedoms established in the current bilateral agreements, subject to the corresponding government approvals. This new route is estimated to start operating by the end of 2025, thus creating a new air link between Chile, Argentina, and the United States, although the exact start date is yet to be determined.
