Announcement of Salary Increase for Armed Forces

The National Government published Joint Resolution 11/2025 in the Official Bulletin, which establishes a salary increase for military personnel of the Armed Forces and the Naval Establishments Police. The measure, effective from March 2025, aims to rank and recognize the capacity, responsibility, and dedication of these groups.

According to the statement from the Ministry of Defense, titled 'Ranking of the Armed Forces: salary increase,' it was reported that the 5% salary increase is a recognition of the effort and sacrifice in national defense. Both the Ministry of Economy, headed by Luis Caputo, and the Ministry of Defense, led by Luis Petri, established the new monthly salary values.

The new salary scale includes an additional 5% increase starting in March for all members of the forces. For the personnel of the Naval Establishments Police, salaries will range from $301,454 to $774,950 depending on rank. The resolution highlights the importance of recognizing the capacity and dedication required to carry out the activities of military personnel.

The staggered evaluation of military personnel from the Armed Forces and the Naval Establishments Police led to the decision to set a new salary scale in line with the criteria of the National Public Administration. This measure is part of the ongoing ranking process and reflects the government's recognition of these sectors.
