The Government has approved an agreement that establishes a salary increase of 2.6% for domestic workers at the beginning of 2025. This decision applies to all workers in private homes, regularizing the salary scales for this year.

The salary categories for domestic workers have been set as follows for March 2025: - For Supervisors: $3714.74 per hour without retirement, $477,591.80 monthly without retirement, $3435.68 per hour with retirement, and $428,761.46 monthly with retirement. - Personnel for specific tasks: $3521.49 per hour without retirement, $443,424.27 monthly without retirement, $3252.97 per hour with retirement, and $398,343.91 monthly with retirement. - Housekeepers: $3072.42 per hour. - Assistance and care for individuals: $3435.67 per hour without retirement, $433,107.44 monthly without retirement, $3072.42 per hour with retirement, and $388,647.91 monthly with retirement. - General task personnel: $3072.42 per hour, $388,648.10 monthly without retirement, $2849.50 per hour with retirement, and $349,507.04 monthly with retirement.

These wages, determined by law 26,844, are the base amounts and must be complemented with mandatory contributions from the employer, such as seniority, retirement, and health insurance.

Registered domestic workers are entitled to two additional payments that increase their salary: one for seniority, which grants 1% of the salary for each year worked in the same job.

The National Commission of Domestic Workers (CNTCP) agreed on a new raise for domestic workers, which has been approved by the Government to establish the wages for the first quarter of 2025. The new salary scale, effective from February, incorporates a 1.2% increase compared to the earnings of January.

This salary adjustment applies to all categories of domestic workers, including nannies, allowing them to receive their updated salaries this month. The previous increase was 6%, divided into two phases: 3.2% in September and 2.8% in October 2024.

Additionally, a 30% bonus was established for workers in disadvantaged areas, covering regions such as Tierra del Fuego, Santa Cruz, Río Negro, and Patagonia.
