
In the framework of the government's interest in attracting investments for the mining sector, the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, held a meeting today with the President of the Business Council of Canada, Goldy Hyder, the leading business organization in Canada.
The executive expressed his interest in organizing a trade mission of Canadian companies to Argentina to explore investment and trade opportunities. During the meeting, which also included the Secretary of Finance, Pablo Quirno, the Executive President of the Investment and International Trade Agency, Diego Sucalesca, and the Argentine Ambassador to Canada, Josefina MartÃnez Gramuglia, Hyder congratulated the Argentine government for "the achievements obtained in a very short time of management."
He also highlighted the leadership and credibility of President Javier Milei's messages regarding tax reduction, access to capital markets, lowering inflation, and fiscal surplus. Additionally, he praised the Large Investments Incentive Regime (RIGI) because "it provides certainty over time for capital to arrive."
The Business Council of Canada is the most influential business organization in that country, representing 170 companies that generate more than 50 percent of the private sector GDP.
