Motorcycle Sales Surge 29% in February

In February, 39,803 motorcycles were registered in Argentina, representing a 29% year-on-year growth. However, this figure was below January's total of 59,320 units, marking a decline of 32.9%. Honda leads the market with 6,516 units sold.


Motorcycle Sales Surge 29% in February

The sale of new motorcycles experienced a 29% year-on-year increase in February, with a total of 39,803 units registered, according to data provided by the Motorcycle Division of the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (ACARA). Despite this growth, the figures for February were below those recorded in January, with a decrease of 32.9% compared to the 59,320 motorcycles registered in the previous month.

Regarding brands, Corven remained in fourth place with 4,348 units, while Zanella moved up to fifth position with 3,640 registrations, surpassing Keller which ended in sixth place. In terms of the most registered models, the Gilera Smash ranked first, pushing the Honda Wave 110 to second place. The Motomel B110 came in third, followed by the Keller KN 110-8 and the Corven Energy 110 in fifth place.

In February, the most registered motorcycle models were the Gilera Smash, followed by the Honda Wave 110 and the Motomel B110. As for brands, Honda led with 6,516 units, followed by Motomel with 5,773 and Gilera with 4,761.

In February 2024, 30,848 motorcycles were sold, representing a significant year-on-year increase. In the first two months of 2024, a total of 99,123 units were sold, 58.1% more than in the same period last year, when 62,713 vehicles were recorded. In terms of market share, Honda continues to lead with 6,516 units sold in February, followed by Motomel and Gilera in second and third place respectively.
