Starting in early March, a series of increases in various services are expected in Argentina, which will impact the wallets of citizens and inflation, which continues above 2% monthly.

Among the main increases anticipated for this month are: in rents, an annual update of 149.34% is planned for contracts starting in March 2023, a figure lower than the 174.42% recorded in February. Regarding electricity and gas, a 10% increase in electricity rates is proposed by Edenor and Edesur starting in April, although the final decision by the Government will be made in March.

In the case of fuels, a possible price hike is expected to be defined in the coming days. On the other hand, in the prepaid sector, companies like OSDE, Swiss Medical, and Galeno have announced that they will maintain their rates, with an average adjustment of 1.9% for members with individual plans.

In transportation, the minimum bus fare in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires will increase by 10%, reaching $408.24 for those users with a registered SUBE card. In the case of the subway, the fare is expected to rise from $757 to $832 in the first days of March.

Another aspect to consider is the salaries of domestic workers, categorized in the fifth category. For those employees under the condition of work with withdrawal, the minimum hourly wage will be $2,863 and the monthly wage will be $351,233.

These increases in essential services will continue to rise, which will have a significant impact on the economy of households at the beginning of March.
