ANSES announced a 2.21% increase in pension benefits starting March 2025, with new values established for minimum and maximum payments.


Increase in Pension Benefits in Argentina

The National Administration of Social Security (ANSES) has officially announced the new values of pension benefits for March 2025. An increase of 2.21% has been determined, according to the established retirement mobility based on inflation. Resolution 145/2025 has confirmed that the guaranteed minimum pension will be $279,121.71, while the maximum pension will reach $1,878,224.89.

Additionally, it has been established that the Universal Basic Benefit (PBU) will have a value of $127,685.44 and the Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) will be set at $223,297.37. Likewise, the minimum and maximum taxable bases for the calculation of contributions and contributions have been updated to $94,008.14 and $3,055,220.44 respectively, according to information obtained by the Argentine News Agency.

The increase has been calculated based on the variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from January 2025, as stipulated by Emergency Decree (DNU) 274/24. This decree provided for the monthly update of pension benefits according to inflation.

Lastly, ANSES has empowered the General Directorate of Process and Norm Design to implement the necessary administrative procedures to apply the new values.
