The blue dollar will start the day on Tuesday, February 25, quoting at $1,220 for buying and $1,240 for selling. Similarly, the MEP dollar will quote at $1,208 and the cash with settlement at $1,219. On the other hand, the wholesale exchange rate is set at $1,061, which creates a gap of 16% relative to the parallel dollar.
Regarding the value of the greenback, it will be at $1,080.50 at the National Bank, while the average in banks will be $1,089.41. During the month of February so far, the Central Bank has acquired a total of US$ 1.496 billion, thus increasing gross reserves to US$ 28.588 billion.
In the words of the economic report presented this morning, "The variations in the prices of the dollar, both in the parallel market and in the official one, reflect the current economic dynamics of the country and the actions taken by the Central Bank to maintain financial stability."
