The Government of Javier Milei announced stricter measures to guarantee the delivery of Disability Pensions to those who truly need them. In order to control the use of public funds and ensure their correct allocation, a new requirement for pensioners has been established, warning that those who do not comply will lose the right to receive the pension.
The text states that, upon verifying the non-compliance with the residency requirement, the benefit will be suspended. However, pensioners may request the reactivation of the benefit if they can prove that they are residing in the country again. In case of suspension, an in-person appointment can be requested at ANSES and a reconsideration appeal can be submitted to the National Disability Agency (ANDIS), but if non-compliance is confirmed, the termination will be final and they will stop receiving the benefit.
ANSES has established a payment schedule for February 2025 for holders of non-contributory pensions. This schedule sets the payment dates according to the last digits of the ID number, with those ending in 0 and 1 on February 10, 2 and 3 on February 11, 4 and 5 on February 12, 6 and 7 on February 13, and 8 and 9 on February 14.
Resolution 918/2024, published in the Official Bulletin, establishes that holders of Disability Pensions who are absent from the national territory for more than 90 days will lose the right to receive the benefit. ANSES will use the database from the National Directorate of Migrations to verify that beneficiaries comply with this residency requirement.
