Today, stocks and bonds showed a positive performance in the financial market, even though investors continue to await more information about the agreement with the International Monetary Fund. Argentine bank stocks listed on Wall Street registered a rebound of up to 7%, while the Buenos Aires stock exchange and dollar-denominated bonds also experienced a slight bounce.
Traders are closely following the government's negotiations with the IMF and, in the international context, Donald Trump's protectionist policy, which has led to increased tariffs for major trading partners. "There have been good advances so far, we want to ensure that there is room for staff and authorities to continue these constructive discussions," mentioned Julie Kozack, the organization’s spokesperson, at a press conference in Washington. Analysts indicate that the market will be attentive to possible news regarding the negotiations between Argentina and the IMF, especially in the currency area, considering its impact on inflation.
