With an expenditure of 26,157.3 million dollars, Argentina is the nation with the largest military budget in the region.
In 2024, Argentina made a significant acquisition of 24 F-16 Fighting Falcon combat aircraft from the Danish Air Force, marking one of the largest purchases of such weaponry in decades. These investments in defense highlight the importance of security and territorial control in Latin America.
