In the editorial of the report, national deputy Daiana Fernández Molero stated that the party's main objective throughout the year was to support the economic measures aimed at controlling inflation and organizing the economy. She assured that the PRO acted with patience and determination, resisting pressures from Kirchnerism and other opportunistic alliances, as they were convinced that it would be worth it in the long term.
Daiana Molero emphasized the need to implement urgent structural reforms in Argentina, such as a new tax law that promotes economic growth, union democratization, and an equitable pension reform. The Pensar Foundation, chaired by national deputy María Eugenia Vidal, supported in its report the government's economic direction, but at the same time urged the implementation of these reforms as necessary measures to strengthen the country.
The report presented by the foundation highlighted the supportive role played by the PRO regarding the macroeconomic measures implemented last year, which contributed significantly to the reduction of inflation. It was emphasized that ordering the macroeconomy is fundamental to address Argentina's structural problems, including poverty. It was highlighted that inflation is an invisible and regressive tax, making it crucial to address not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes.
Regarding the possible appointment of Supreme Court judges by decree, the PRO expressed its rejection of this action and recalled negative experiences from the past, such as Mauricio Macri's attempt to move in that direction when he assumed the presidency in December 2015. It was underscored that promoting measures without fiscal balance would be not only irresponsible but also futile. The PRO's commitment for the year 2025 is to continue building solid foundations for a prosperous and constantly advancing future for Argentina.
