Argentinian drivers have recently received good news: starting in February, Mercado Pago can be used to pay with TelePASE on more routes and highways in Argentina. However, there are certain tolls where TelePASE is not enabled, and cash payment is required.
At the following toll stations, the only accepted payment method is cash: Ruta Nacional 5 in 9 de Julio and Trenque Lauquen, Ruta Nacional 7 in Vicuña Mackenna and La Paz, Ruta Nacional 8 in Sampacho, Ruta Nacional 9 in La Florida, Molle Yaco and Cabeza de Buey, Ruta Nacional 188 in Junín, Ruta Nacional 16 in Makallé, and Ruta Nacional 12 in Riachuelo, Ituzaingó, and Colonia Victoria.
On the other hand, there are tolls where TelePASE is enabled, including Ruta Nacional 8 in Larena, Solís, and Venado Tuerto, Ruta Nacional 34 in San Vicente, Ceres and Fernández, Autopista 19 in Franck, Ruta Nacional 19 in Devoto, Ruta Nacional 9 in Zárate, Lagos, Carcarañá, and James Craik, Ruta Nacional 205 in Uribelarrea, Ruta Nacional 3 in Cañuelas, Ruta Nacional 226 in Hinojo, Vasconia, and El Dorado, Ruta Nacional 7 in Villa Espil and Junín, Ruta Nacional 12 in Santa Ana, and Ruta Nacional 16 in Puente Gral.
As mentioned, the billing for the TelePASE service is biweekly or monthly, and it is possible to view the details of the passes and invoices in the TelePASE Self-Management Center in most of the concessionaires of the TelePASE Network. Additionally, there are special toll booths where you can pick up the TelePASE sticker.
The TelePASE system is available in a wide network of highways and national routes in Argentina, particularly in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and on major national routes. Those who already have the TelePASE sticker save the step of obtaining it. It's worth noting that the TelePASE service has no registration fee or account maintenance costs.
In short, this benefit of using TelePASE for a more efficient and seamless passage existed previously in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and is now extending to more jurisdictions in the country, adding 6,770 kilometers and reaching provinces such as Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Corrientes, and Chaco.
To enable TelePASE from Mercado Pago, simply download the application, open it, and select the section where the TelePASE option appears. This way, Argentinian drivers can enjoy a more practical and efficient way to pay at the tolls on the routes and highways enabled in the country.
