Starting in January, a new provision will come into effect in Catamarca that anticipates a salary increase of 2.7%, according to the inflation index. This percentage exceeds the annual accumulated inflation index reported by INDEC, which was 117.8%. Additionally, it was established that this year the salary policy will be coordinated among the three branches of government: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.
In a meeting between the judges of the Supreme Court and the Minister of Economy, Alejandra Nazareno, it was agreed that the recent increase for the Judicial Branch, which was 12%, will be taken into account in advance until the other branches of government match that percentage. Last December, workers in the Judicial Branch received an additional 12% increase over the salary guideline of other state entities.
With this new agreement, it was established that the Judicial Branch will not have further increases until employees of the Executive and Legislative branches receive increases that equal that 12%. Catamarca will grant a new salary increase of 2.7% in January, aligned with the latest inflation index of December 2024, according to INDEC.
At the end of 2024, the Province has accumulated salary increases of 153.7% for all public workers. A new methodology will be implemented after consulting with the various stakeholders of the branches, with the goal of managing public resources in accordance with the stipulations of the 2025 Budget Law.
