Chubut Governor Announces Tax Relief for Farmers

The governor of Chubut, Ignacio Torres, revealed that he will exempt the livestock production sector of the southern Argentine province from Gross Income and Rural Property Tax. Torres highlighted the achievement of a financial surplus through effective resource management in a short time and announced the initiative to benefit ranchers.

In his announcement, Torres criticized the so-called 'fox tax' and described it as an unjustified tax that complicated the fiscal structure of the province. He stated that the elimination of this tax would contribute to simplification and equity in the Chubut tax system. The governor confirmed that the project will be submitted to the Chubut Legislature for evaluation.

The presentation took place at the Official Residence, where Torres was accompanied by Chubut's Minister of Production, Laura Mirantes, and representatives from the livestock sector. In particular, Ricardo Irianni, president of the Rural Society of the Valle del Chubut, and the members of the Executive Committee of the entity: Diego Varela, Roberto Williams, and María Eugenia Miche were present at the press conference.

The initiative to exempt taxes for the livestock sector seeks to promote its development and boost the local economy. The Chubut government indicated that this measure aims primarily to support livestock producers and strengthen activity in the region. The project will undergo the legislative process for consideration and possible approval.
