President Javier Milei continues his international tour, now heading to Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, after being at Donald Trump's inauguration in Washington. He is accompanied by Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency, Gerardo Werthein, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Worship and International Trade, and Luis Caputo, Minister of Economy.

During his stay in Switzerland, Milei has various activities planned. He will participate in the World Economic Forum and is expected to speak on Thursday as part of his official participation in the event. Additionally, he will receive the Röpke Prize in Zurich, awarded by the Liberales Institut, a classical liberal think tank.

He is also expected to meet with James Quincey, CEO of Coca-Cola, as well as executives from international companies at the 'Country Strategy Dialogue on Argentina'. Among the participants will be Alejandro Bulgheroni, president of Pan American Energy Group (PAEG).

In his speech last year in Davos, Milei warned about the danger posed by the advance of socialism over free enterprise capitalism. He encouraged entrepreneurs not to be intimidated by the political caste or by state parasites.

Economists at the World Economic Forum have pointed out some key elements of the economic outlook for 2025. They foresee greater global fragmentation in trade, technology, and labor mobility. They warn that Donald Trump's policies in a potential second term could generate long-term structural changes in the global economy. An increase in trade conflicts between the United States and China, as well as with other international actors, is also anticipated.
