López Murphy Urges Inclusion of National Budget Project

National Deputy Ricardo López Murphy from the Encuentro Federal party expressed the need to include the National Budget Project 2025 in the extraordinary sessions of Congress. According to the deputy, the exclusion of this budget creates a serious distortion, as it allows the Executive Power to spend at its discretion.

In statements to Radio Splendid, López Murphy emphasized the importance of budget discussion, pointing out that the Government spends what Congress authorizes, which is not happening as the budget has been extended for two consecutive years. This situation, for the legislator, affects institutional integrity by allowing the Executive Power to spend without limits in a republican, representative, and federal system.

The deputy proposed the inclusion of an article in the Budget Law that regulates fiscal responsibility and prevents provincial governments from increasing taxes that generate fiscal pressure, such as the gross income tax.

In a direct message to the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, López Murphy called for an end to the elimination of export taxes on agricultural production, arguing that this measure harms the sector that drives Argentine exports. The deputy warned about climatic risks, currency devaluation in Brazil, and the tax burden affecting the productive sector, creating a scenario of uncertainty in the country's economy.
