The Uruguayan coach decided to leave his position at Banfield in agreement with the club's Board of Directors. The club announced the departure of the head coach in a statement.
"Nicolás Larcamón is no longer the coach of Banfield by mutual agreement with the Board of Directors," the club communicated. Larcamón took over as head coach of the team in January of this year and managed to lead the team out of the relegation zone last season.
During his tenure, the team achieved good results and an offensive style of play that was noted by the specialized press. However, after a series of meetings, the decision was made to terminate the coach's contract.
Now, Banfield is in search of a new head coach to face the upcoming season. Meanwhile, the team will continue training under the interim coaching staff.
