In the province of Salta, a man tested positive in a breathalyzer check and tried to flee with his companion, who claimed to be a cousin of the province's governor, Gustavo Sáenz. However, it was confirmed that the young woman is not related to him.
The incident took place on a Friday morning at the intersection of Ameghino and Zuviría streets. The driver of a Chevrolet Corsa was stopped for a breathalyzer test, which returned a positive result. At that moment, he decided to attempt to escape.
After requesting the corresponding documents from the driver, including his driver's license, the breathalyzer test was conducted, confirming the presence of alcohol in his system. The woman accompanying him mentioned being a relative of the governor in an attempt to evade the situation, although it was proven to be a lie.
After explaining the breathalyzer procedure in detail to the driver, a positive result of 0.39 blood alcohol content was obtained. Despite this, the driver and his companion chose to flee, but they were stopped again by the police control, which imposed a fine for the offense committed.
