Jason Luo, vice president of Ganfeng Lithium Group, expressed the company's ongoing commitment to projects in Argentina, working in collaboration with local communities. For his part, the company's president, Wang Xiaoshen, highlighted the importance of the Mariana Project at this stage.

The event was attended by Luis Lucero, Secretary of Mining of the Nation, who emphasized that this initiative not only contributes foreign currency to the economy but also creates quality jobs for hundreds of families, strengthening local economies. The governor of Salta, Gustavo Sáenz, pointed out the significance of this mining milestone for the province, demonstrating the strength and dynamism of the mining industry in Salta at a global level.

The Mariana Project is Ganfeng's first project to begin production in Salta, and other projects in the region are expected to be developed soon. The total investment reached US$980 million, with a strong commitment to sustainability and the energy transition. During the construction of the plant, more than 3,000 direct and indirect jobs were created, with 82% of employees being from Salta.

Overall, this project represents a boost for the local economy and for the mining industry in the region.
