The Justice of Santa Fe condemned a man to 19 years in prison for shooting and killing a young man in the city of Recreo.
According to the Argentine News Agency, this is Nahuel Elías Costa, who committed the crime against Brian Emanuel Paye on April 21, 2021, according to information from the official website of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The incident occurred near an industrial plant located at kilometer 1.5 of provincial route number 70, where the perpetrator shot the victim twice while remaining a fugitive until March 30, 2023, when he was arrested.
During this procedure, the police seized three firearms: a homemade pistol and a rifle—both caliber 22 with cartridges—and a caliber 38 weapon used to commit the crime.
The prosecutor in the case, Andrés Marchi, emphasized that “there was no doubt that Costa intended to take Paye's life,” which is why he was declared criminally liable for qualified homicide (by the use of a firearm) and the illegal possession of two firearms and a war weapon.
“There was no doubt that Costa intended to take Paye's life.”
