A tragic incident occurred at a car agency in the town of Pilar, where a 29-year-old mechanic lost his life after being crushed by a RAM truck he was repairing. The event took place on Wednesday around 6 PM at a Northville dealership located at kilometer 52 of the mentioned town.
According to local media reports, the truck was suspended over a lift and, for reasons still unknown, fell on the head of the young employee, who died instantly. The victim, identified as Álvaro Julián Báez, suffered the fatal accident while performing his usual tasks at the establishment.
Following the tragic event, an ambulance from the Emergency Medical Attention System (SAME) arrived at the scene, which unfortunately could only confirm the mechanic's death. The Instructional Fiscal Unit (UFI) No. 4 intervened in the case, classifying it as "Investigation of the causes of death."
This incident has caused shock in the local community, while the competent authorities will carry out the necessary investigations to clarify the circumstances surrounding this tragic workplace accident.
