Violence Against Children in Neuquén Neighborhood

In the Neuquén city of Plottier, a man threw an arrow at a group of children who were playing peacefully on the sidewalk of his neighborhood. The violent incident took place last Friday when one of the minors was riding his bicycle near the aggressor's house, an elderly man who resides at the corner of the street between Batilana and Corrientes, as reported by Mirta, a local resident, in an interview with the program "Todo se Sabe" on radio 97.7 of Neuquén.

The child, upon being hit by the arrow, ran scared to his house, shouting that someone had thrown something at him. Family members found the arrow on the sidewalk, near where the child had been playing, and realized that the metal object could have caused serious injuries if it had struck the minor. The situation escalated when they tried to speak with the aggressor, who refused to come out of his house.

The Police arrived at the scene and, after some inquiries, took the report due to the lack of information regarding the man's identity. The case was referred to the Prosecutor's Office. According to testimonies, the aggressor has a history of violent behavior and has been seen throwing objects at passersby, including women and children. Furthermore, there are rumors that the man may be armed, which has heightened fear in the community.

Residents in the area hope that authorities act quickly to prevent the recurrence of these events and ensure the safety of the children and the entire community.
