Deliberative Council Calls for Help in Luciana Muñoz Case

The Deliberative Council of Neuquén has expressed its concern over the disappearance of Luciana Muñoz, a 20-year-old young woman who has been missing for more than four months. The body issued a statement urging the continuation of the search for Luciana and requesting the Executive Power to join the efforts to find the victim. The project was unanimously approved and presented by councilors from the left, receiving support from all blocs.

Councilor José Benegas, belonging to the Left Front Unity (FITU), explained that the approved communication is a show of support from the councilors to Luciana's family, offering assistance in everything necessary to resolve the case. The Council expressed its concern about the young woman's situation and urged the relevant authorities to provide information on the search efforts.

During the voting, Luciana's family and Angélica Lagunas, a former councilor and current general secretary of the Neuquén Education Workers Association (ATEN), were present. Councilor Laura Pérez called on citizens to remain active in the search for information that could help find Luciana, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and cooperation in such situations.

Increasing the pressure to find Luciana, the local government has raised the reward to $100 million for those who provide relevant information regarding her whereabouts. So far, the only person arrested in connection with the case is Maximiliano Avilés, who had a brief relationship with the young woman before her disappearance on July 13 in the city of Neuquén.
