Away from President Javier Milei and with her own agenda, Vice President Victoria Villarruel will travel tomorrow to the province of Neuquén, where she will meet with Governor Rolando Figueroa. The two representatives of the Neuquén Popular Movement (MPN) in Congress, both Senator Lucila Crexell and Deputy Osvaldo Llancafilo, voted in favor of the pension mobility and university funding laws, an attitude that was labeled by the head of state as a 'fiscal degeneration'.
That is why the visit of the Senate leader generates some confusion within libertarian ranks, as there is an effort to generate political dialogue with sectors that in recent parliamentary discussions have stood on the opposite side of the Government.
The Vice President's agenda will begin this Tuesday at 8 am when she is received at the airport by the Neuquén Vice Governor, Gloria Ruiz. At 2 pm, at the Hilton Hotel, Villarruel will deliver the opening remarks of the Texas Summit Energy, an international conference focused on the export leap of Vaca Muerta and the planning of alternatives to increase investment, production, and jobs. At 4 pm, she will have a meeting with Governor Figueroa at the Costa Residence, with an open agenda.
At 7:30 pm, the Vice President will return to the Hilton Hotel to participate in the closing activity of the Texas Summit Energy, which will consist of a 'networking' space between the government sector and business leaders.
The following day, she will travel to the town of Añelo, where she will take a tour with the local mayor, Fernando Banderet, and visit the Expo Argentina Oil and Gas Patagonia 2024. At the end of the day, at 7 pm, Villarruel will lead a meeting with representatives of the Federation of Chambers of the Energy Sector of the Province of Neuquén (FECENE).
