Today, a virtual hearing is taking place in the coastal city of Necochea, where the minor detained in connection with the fatal fight, in which Bautista Coronel died, will learn if a pretrial detention order is issued against him, according to the Argentine News Agency. VerĂ³nica Posse, the prosecutor in charge of the case, confirmed that at 10:00 AM today, a virtual hearing is underway, during which the 16-year-old minor will learn of his legal future in the case in which he is charged with the crime of 'qualified homicide by the use of a bladed weapon.' The case is under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Criminal Responsibility Court. Prior to this hearing, the prosecutor took a statement from a witness, whose testimony will be important as, in the coming hours, it may also be revealed, based on examinations of the seized cell phones, 'if other people enter the process with varying degrees of participation.' Posse also disclosed a request she made against the detained minor in recent hours: 'I requested a precautionary measure prohibiting the use of social networks and allowing the accused to only have contact with the defense.' As she explained to NA, this request was made due to a post the defendant made on his Instagram account using the phone from the juvenile detention center where he is being held. 'They granted it partially, limiting it until today,' Posse stated and emphasized that 'he cannot communicate with undetermined people or use his social networks,' although 'he is allowed to communicate with the defense and his family.' In light of the partial acceptance of the precautionary measure, the prosecutor indicated that she will request it again at today's hearing.
