Santiago Alejandro Haedo, 22 years old, was found dead after disappearing while swimming in the sea with his friends in Necochea. The disappearance occurred on Saturday morning while Haedo and his friends were enjoying the beach after playing soccer, having a barbecue, and consuming alcohol. At one point, Haedo lost sight of the sea, which led his friends to alert the authorities and start an intense search.
During the weekend, a large search operation was carried out involving personnel from the Coast Guard, Buenos Aires Police, Civil Defense of Necochea, and lifeguards on duty. After several hours of searching, Haedo's body was found lifeless 50 meters from where he had entered the sea with his friends.
It was revealed that at the time Haedo entered the sea, there were still no lifeguards on duty, as their work shift begins at 8 a.m. Haedo's body was transferred to the Doctor Emilio Ferreyra Municipal Hospital, where the corresponding examinations were conducted. The case is in the hands of UFI No. 1 of Necochea, led by José Chipoletti, who ordered all necessary investigations to clarify what happened.
