A shocking crime took place after a neighborhood fight in Necochea that ended in murder this Sunday. Matías Cáceres, 40 years old, was attacked by Christian Rafael Zarza, 24 years old, who used homemade knives to commit the homicide. After the violent dispute on Street 92 bis between 53 and 55, Zarza attempted to flee with his mother towards Quequén.
According to the prosecutor in charge of the case, Walter Pierradtegui, Zarza was charged with simple homicide aggravated by the use of a knife. The investigation revealed that the young aggressor caused a fatal wound to Cáceres' chest during the altercation. Although the exact causes that initiated the fight are still unknown, a video recorded by a witness showed how Zarza threatened the victim with a knife.
Zarza's arrest was carried out by officers from the DDI of Necochea at 547 between 580 and 582. At the time of the arrest, a cellphone, a blue t-shirt, and a cap with a green and white visor were seized. The aggressor will be interrogated in court this Monday, while search warrants are expected at the places he used to frequent before the crime to gather more evidence about the case.
