Tragedy in Buenos Aires: Prison officer killed while making food delivery. The violent incident occurred on Saturday at the intersection of Route 197 and Gaspar Campos Street in the José C. Paz district. The officer, who was working as a delivery driver, was surrounded by at least four criminals on motorcycles who attempted to steal his motorcycle. Initially, the officer agreed to hand over his belongings, but then he drew his weapon and identified himself as a police officer, triggering a fierce shootout in the middle of the street. During the confrontation, the officer was seriously injured, while the criminals managed to escape, taking some of the victim's personal items but leaving the motorcycle behind. Despite the quick assistance of witnesses, the officer died while being transported to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
