The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, recently declared that they will not retreat or renounce the rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the country. In a speech at the Davos Forum in Switzerland, he highlighted the importance of eliminating what he called "the virus of woke ideology," considering it a cancer that must be eradicated in order to achieve a "golden age" on an international level.

Milei explained that "woke culture" is the result of a cultural subversion and encompasses concepts such as feminism, equity, gender ideology, climate change, abortion, and immigration. According to him, all these ideas seek to justify the advance of the State and have a manifest desire to suppress criticism and dissent.

In response to Milei's statements, provincial senator Claudia Najul, from the UCR party, expressed her rejection of the president's speech in Davos. Najul, who also heads the Senate Gender and Equity Committee in Mendoza, described Milei's statements as extremist and violent. Through her social media, she affirmed her position as a defender of tolerance and the law.

In his criticisms, Milei also mentioned that feminism seeks to divide society, arguing that it aims to pit one half of the population against the other. However, he pointed out that there is no criticism of male predominance in roles such as prisoners, plumbers, or victims of wars. In response to these statements, Najul emphasized the importance of citizen organization to prevent power from fragmenting and confronting society.
